The Children's Parade on Independence Day was a huge success! The weather cooperated, there was candy abound and everyone acted with respect toward one another. We are grateful to have such a wonderful and giving community.
You may have noticed a few changes as you passed by Station 4-1. We are creating a defensible space around our buildings by removing trees and underbrush. The definition of defensible space is "The area around a home where the location, selection, and maintenance of vegetation and other combustible materials are managed such that a fire or wind-blown embers are less likely to ignite the structure." Since we would like our community to adhere to this wisdom, we thought it only fair to adhere to it ourselves!
Our August meeting will be held on the 8th, and you may join us at Fire Station 4-1 or virtually with Zoom (ID #624 041 5920 and Passcode #068 268). See below the agenda for our August meeting and the minutes (unapproved as yet) from our July meeting.
